Según el Idexcam, la dinámica positiva de las importaciones en estos dos meses se explicaría por la proximidad de las celebraciones de Navidad y Año Nuevo, cuando la actividad delictiva aumenta.
La necesidad de adoptar medidas de prevención y disuasión ante el incremento de la delincuencia en el país, impulsó la importación de cámaras de seguridad y video vigilancia que en setiembre alcanzó los US$ 1.3 millones, representando un crecimiento de 36.4% con respecto al mes anterior, reportó el Instituto de Desarrollo e Investigación de Comercio Exterior de la Cámara de Comercio de Lima (Idexcam).
El repunte en el valor importado de estos equipos se registra desde junio, cuyo valor de adquisición sumó US$ 1 millón, monto que evidenció un aumento del 90.63% respecto a mayo.
Aunque en el mes de julio las compras sumaron US$ 333,000 lo que representó una caída del 67.18%; en agosto el valor importado sumó US$ 995,000, monto que evidenció un incremento de 198.92%, el cual continuó en setiembre.
También se debería en parte a la reactivación parcial de las actividades económicas y el cese de la cuarentena, que ha significado que la delincuencia vuelva a operar.
En ese sentido, los ciudadanos y empresarios requieren de estos dispositivos para reforzar y monitorear los exteriores e interiores de sus hogares, empresas, establecimientos públicos e incluso calles y barrios enteros.
El Idexcam estima que, ante la necesidad de protección, es posible que la importación de cámaras de seguridad continúe incrementándose en lo que resta del año.
